Special Focus on Safety of Seniors
RSVP of Scioto County places a top priority on continually looking for ways to help keep our residents safe. For this reason we take a very active role in participating with other organizations and the local law enforcement agencies in programs such as TRIAD, the Scioto County Elder Abuse Task Force and Scioto County Project Lifesaver Program.
Scioto County Project Lifesaver Program is a tracking system to quickly locate individuals (of any age) who are unable to find their own way home due to an illness or accident. This service is free to those who need the financial assistance. It is a special partnership between RSVP, SCM, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department and the New Boston and Portsmouth Police Departments. RSVP is the coordinating and fiscal agency.
